POLITICAL VOICES

Reconciliation
and social justice

In the aftermath of civil conflicts or identity-based conflicts, these leaders have led efforts to achieve fair and inclusive peace processes.

To do so, they have given a voice to those who were oppressed or excluded, they have asked for mechanisms of reparation, and have promoted the concept of unity in their societies, above all ethnic, religious or political differences.

Leaders have recognized the mistakes of the past and have pledged to build bridges to achieve united, harmonious societies.
