Her career brings together public service, legislative work, and feminist activism. As a civil society advocate, she played a key role in promoting the passage of Costa Rica’s Law Against Street Sexual Harassment, helping establish violence in public spaces as a human rights issue. In the legislative arena, she was the principal advisor responsible for drafting the Menstruation and Justice bill, aimed at reducing structural inequalities related to menstrual health and menstrual management. She also drafted the proposed reform extending the statute of limitations for reporting workplace and educational sexual harassment cases and coordinated its legislative advancement to help combat impunity.

She has represented Costa Rica in multilateral forums and is a member of regional youth leadership networks. She believes in a model of politics that combines institutional action, critical thinking, and public advocacy, and maintains that young women should play a leading role in redefining and strengthening democratic institutions.
