Diputada electa al Congreso de la República de Guatemala por el Distrito Central para el período 2024–2028, integrante de la Bancada Movimiento Semilla. Posee cierre de pensum en la Licenciatura en Ciencia Política por la Universidad Rafael Landívar. Es una de las mujeres más jóvenes electas democráticamente. Desde temprana edad ha mantenido un compromiso activo con el liderazgo juvenil y la participación cívica. Ha sido miembro del movimiento scout por casi veinte años, coordinando iniciativas ambientales orientadas a la protección de cuerpos de agua y la reducción del consumo de plásticos. Asimismo, fue líder estudiantil del Movimiento Landivarianos durante el período 2021–2022, promoviendo espacios de incidencia y formación política para la juventud universitaria. A nivel internacional, es miembro del Club de Madrid, donde participa en espacios de diálogo sobre democracia y gobernanza global. Además, forma parte activa del programa de mujeres parlamentarias de la Munich Security Conference, fortaleciendo redes internacionales enfocadas en liderazgo femenino, seguridad internacional y cooperación estratégica. La diputada Elena Motta fue premiada por One Young World como Política del Año 2024, en reconocimiento a su liderazgo y contribución al fortalecimiento democrático. Asimismo, recibió reconocimiento dentro del proceso de formación política de la Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, en el marco del programa ManiFEState, orientado al fortalecimiento de capacidades de liderazgo político con enfoque de género. Su trayectoria combina experiencia legislativa, liderazgo juvenil, proyección internacional y reconocimientos por su incidencia política, con énfasis en la defensa de la democracia, la transparencia y el fortalecimiento institucional en Guatemala.


She was elected to the Congress of the Republic of Guatemala to represent the Central District for the 2024–2028 term as a member of the Movimiento Semilla parliamentary group. She has completed the coursework for a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Rafael Landívar University and is one of the youngest women ever democratically elected to the Guatemalan Congress. From an early age, she has been actively engaged in youth leadership and civic participation. She has been a member of the Scout Movement for nearly twenty years, coordinating environmental initiatives focused on protecting water resources and reducing plastic consumption. She also served as a student leader of the Landivarianos Movement from 2021 to 2022, promoting opportunities for civic engagement and political education among university students. Internationally, she is a member of the Club de Madrid, where she contributes to discussions on democracy and global governance. She also participates in the Munich Security Conference’s Women Parliamentarians Program, strengthening international networks focused on women’s leadership, international security, and strategic cooperation. Representative Elena Motta was recognized by One Young World as Politician of the Year 2024 in recognition of her leadership and contributions to strengthening democracy. She also received recognition through the Friedrich Ebert Foundation’s ManiFEState program, an initiative designed to strengthen political leadership capacities with a gender perspective. Her career combines legislative experience, youth leadership, international engagement, and recognition for her political impact, with a particular focus on defending democracy, promoting transparency, and strengthening democratic institutions in Guatemala.
