Ministra de Igualdad | Minister of Equality

Doctora en Derecho Constitucional por la Universidad de Valladolid, master en Derecho Internacional por el Instituto de Estudios Políticos para América Latina y África (Iepala) y licenciada en Derecho por la Universidad de Valladolid. Profesora Titular de Derecho Constitucional en la Universidad de Valladolid. Fue procuradora en las Cortes de Castilla y León desde 2007 hasta 2015 y Teniente de Alcalde y concejala de Cultura y Turismo del Ayuntamiento de Valladolid entre 2015 y 2023. También ha sido secretaria general de la Agrupación Municipal del PSOE de Valladolid. Desde el ministerio, Redondo ha definido la igualdad como un área clave y transversal para el avance de los derechos de las mujeres, impulsando políticas públicas en materia de violencia de género, corresponsabilidad y equidad institucional. Sus principales banderas son la igualdad de género, la lucha contra la violencia machista, los derechos de las mujeres y el fortalecimiento institucional de las políticas de igualdad.


She holds a Ph.D. in Constitutional Law from the University of Valladolid, a Master’s degree in International Law from the Institute of Political Studies for Latin America and Africa (IEPALA), and a Law degree from the University of Valladolid. She is a Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Valladolid. She served as a member of the Cortes of Castile and León from 2007 to 2015 and as Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Culture and Tourism of the Valladolid City Council from 2015 to 2023. She has also served as Secretary General of the Valladolid Municipal Branch of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE). As Minister, Redondo has defined equality as a key cross-cutting priority for advancing women’s rights, promoting public policies on gender-based violence, shared responsibility in caregiving, and institutional gender equality. Her main areas of work are gender equality, combating violence against women, women’s rights, and strengthening institutions and public policies that promote equality.
