Ministra de la Mujer y Equidad de Género (2022-2026) | Minister of Women and Gender Equality (2022–2026)
Periodista, activista feminista y política. Fundadora del partido Frente Amplio, fue parte de la Red Chilena contra la Violencia hacia las Mujeres y ministra de la Mujer y Equidad de Género del presidente Gabriel Boric entre 2022 y 2026. Desde ese cargo lideró reformas legales en el área de los cuidados, la manutención infantil y la violencia de género.
Journalist, feminist activist, and politician. A founding member of the Broad Front (Frente Amplio), she was also part of the Chilean Network Against Violence Toward Women. She served as Chile’s Minister of Women and Gender Equality under President Gabriel Boric from 2022 to 2026. As minister, she led major legal reforms focused on the care economy, child support enforcement, and the prevention and response to gender-based violence, advancing policies aimed at strengthening women’s rights and gender equality in Chile.
