Bridging the Gap: Mobilizing Inclusive Financing for the Sustainable Development Agenda

During the 63rd Session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD63) session this impactful side event will take place. The event will ignite a bold and dynamic dialogue on aligning the agendas of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD 4) and the Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD2)—two critical milestones shaping the pathway to achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The WSSD2 and FfD4 present a unique opportunity to close persistent gaps in social inclusion, climate action, and development finance. Together, these spaces can drive transformative changes in global financial governance by advancing equitable and inclusive solutions.

This side-event seeks to contribute to laying the groundwork for coordinated global action and amplify the role of the WSSD2 and FfD4 as cornerstones of an inclusive, rights-based, and sustainable global development agenda, focusing on:

  • Tackling structural inequalities and fostering solidarity, inclusion, and cohesion to meet the commitments of the Copenhagen Declaration.
  • Ensuring FfD4 commitments translate into actionable policies and financial resources to address pressing social development needs.
  • Contribute to shaping WSSD2 priorities to build a global development agenda that champions equality, social justice and sustainability.

Join us to explore actionable pathways, innovative financing strategies, and bold commitments that will define the future of global social development. This is a vital moment to amplify momentum for an equitable, inclusive, and sustainable world.

We look forward to welcoming you to this conversation.
