Alvarado, actual miembro de la organización de exjefes de Estado y de Gobierno Club de Madrid, compartió con Sánchez y Felipe VI así como con varios ministros españoles el informe ‘Leadership for Net Zero’ (‘Liderazgo para el cero neto’ en español) sobre las “actitudes, trabajos e ideas” que se pueden “llevar adelante para la lucha contra el cambio climático”.

“Aumentar el gasto en armamento” es “un contrasentido” cuando el mundo atraviesa “una crisis existencial por el cambio climático”, dice el expresidente costarricense Carlos Alvarado, quien se muestra esperanzado en revertir la situación actual del medio ambiente pero alerta de que, si no se actúa con más contundencia, los impactos podrían ser peores que los previstos.
