Asambleísta ecuatoriana por la provincia de Pichincha. Se dio a conocer en octubre de 2019, durante las protestas contra el paquetazo económico del gobierno de Lenín Moreno, cuando perdió un ojo tras el impacto de una bomba lacrimógena policial. Fue elegida a la Asamblea Nacional en 2021 y reelegida en 2025, actualmente como legisladora independiente. Preside el Grupo Parlamentario Temático por los Derechos de las Mujeres (2025-2029) y ha impulsado reformas al Código de la Democracia para fortalecer la participación política de las mujeres y prevenir la violencia política de género, así como la Ley Orgánica de Contención, Acompañamiento y Reparación Transformadora e Integral para familiares de víctimas de femicidio. Sus líneas de trabajo son los derechos de las mujeres, la prevención de la violencia política de género y los derechos humanos.


She is an Ecuadorian member of the National Assembly representing the province of Pichincha. She first came to national prominence in October 2019 during the protests against the economic austerity package introduced by the government of Lenín Moreno, when she lost an eye after being struck by a police tear gas canister. She was elected to the National Assembly in 2021 and re-elected in 2025, currently serving as an independent legislator. She chairs the Thematic Parliamentary Group on Women’s Rights (2025–2029) and has championed reforms to Ecuador’s Code of Democracy to strengthen women’s political participation and prevent gender-based political violence. She has also promoted the Organic Law on Containment, Support, and Comprehensive Transformative Reparations for Families of Victims of Femicide. Her areas of work include women’s rights, the prevention of gender-based political violence, and human rights.
