Steve Killelea, named among the Top 100 Most Influential People in Armed Violence Reduction

Steve Killelea, Club de Madrid President’s Circle Member and Chairman of The Charitable Foundation, has been named among the ’Top 100 Most Influential People in Armed Violence Reduction’ by Action on Armed Violence. 

The list recognises a wide range of people around the world who are working to decrease armed violence in both conflict and non-conflict affected areas. Mr. Killelea, who is also the Founder and Executive Chairman of the Institute for Economics and Peace, was one of twelve people selected for the category of “Academics and Think Tanks”.

Other nominees include UN Officials Ban-Ki Moon and Baroness Valerie Amos; Nobel Peace Prize laureates Kofi Annan, Jimmy Carter, the Dalai Lama and Leymah Gbowee; as well as celebrities George Clooney and Angelina Jolie. See the full list of 100 names here.
