Diputada, Congreso de los Diputados de España | Member of the Congress of Deputies of Spain

She is a Member of the Congress of Deputies of Spain and serves as President of the Committee on Equality, where she advances a legislative agenda focused on consolidating and expanding women’s rights, eradicating all forms of gender-based violence, and mainstreaming a feminist perspective across public policy.
Throughout her parliamentary career, she has played an active role in developing and strengthening Spain’s legal framework on equality, promoting measures to ensure gender-balanced representation in decision-making, equal pay, and comprehensive protection against violence, including digital violence. As President of the Committee on Equality, she has championed the protection of sexual and reproductive rights, maintaining that substantive equality is a fundamental pillar of a democratic society governed by the rule of law.
At the international level, she also serves as President of the Committee on International Development Cooperation, where she has assumed responsibilities related to development cooperation and gender-responsive foreign policy. She has participated in multilateral forums and interparliamentary meetings focused on women’s rights and the global feminist agenda, advocating for a feminist approach to development cooperation aligned with the 2030 Agenda and the strengthening of strategic international partnerships.
Her work has focused on building collaborative networks among parliaments, civil society, and international organizations to address structural inequalities, counter anti-feminist narratives, and eradicate violence against women in politics.
Her political commitment is guided by three strategic priorities: strengthening constitutional and legislative frameworks that safeguard women’s rights; reinforcing international alliances to protect democracy against setbacks in gender equality; and promoting women’s leadership as a driver of institutional transformation, sustainable development, and inclusive growth.
