Doctora en Derecho y Ciencias Sociales por la Universidad de la República del Uruguay, Diplomada en Género y Políticas de Igualdad por la Universidad FLACSO Uruguay, Magíster en Políticas Públicas por la Universidad Austral de Argentina y actualmente MBA Candidate. Se dedicó durante diez años al ejercicio liberal de la profesión de abogada, vinculada al área de Derecho de Familia y Violencia basada en Género. Integrante y referente política del Partido Colorado en Uruguay, ocupó varios cargos de responsabilidad en el Estado: Secretaria Letrada de la Corte Electoral, Secretaria General del CODICEN y Presidenta de la Administración Nacional de Educación Pública (ANEP). En febrero de 2025 su partido político la nominó como candidata para el cargo de Intendenta de la ciudad de Montevideo, dando inicio a su campaña electoral. En mayo del mismo año lanzó “Sede Montevideo”, un centro de estudios para pensar y diseñar políticas públicas que fomenten el desarrollo de la capital uruguaya. Actualmente se desempeña como Prosecretaria de la Cámara de Representantes.
She holds a Doctor of Law and Social Sciences degree from the University of the Republic of Uruguay, a Graduate Diploma in Gender and Equality Policies from FLACSO Uruguay, and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Austral University in Argentina. She is currently an MBA candidate. She practiced law for ten years, specializing in family law and gender-based violence. A member and political leader of the Colorado Party of Uruguay, she has held several senior positions in public service, including Legal Secretary of the Electoral Court, Secretary General of the National Administration of Public Education (ANEP), and President of the National Administration of Public Education. In February 2025, her political party nominated her as its candidate for Mayor (Intendant) of Montevideo, launching her electoral campaign. In May of the same year, she founded Sede Montevideo, a public policy think tank dedicated to developing proposals to foster the sustainable development of Uruguay’s capital. She currently serves as Prosecretary of the Chamber of Representatives of Uruguay.
