Noemi is part of the Program Department where she contributes to the preparation and implementation of projects aimed at promoting reflection on the major challenges and opportunities for democracy around the world.
She has worked for the United Nations, the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and several Human Rights NGOs, on issues related to conflict prevention and peacebuilding, human rights, protection of civilians in armed conflicts, and refugees. She has worked in Jerusalem, Panama and New York where she spent most of her career. Prior to joining the Club de Madrid, Noemi worked for the Helsinki Committee in Spain, where she was in charge of conflict prevention and peacebuilding projects and pre-deployment training initiatives.
She holds a BSc in Economics from the Autónoma University of Madrid, an MA in Conflict Resolution from the University of Bradford, an MA in Development and International Cooperation from the Complutense University of Madrid, and a postgraduate degree in fundraising from New York University. She is a regular facilitator on Women, Peace and Security initiatives.
