Gabriela Posso Restrepo, Youth Advisor for the National Planning Department of Colombia, is a 28-year-old woman from Cali with a solid background in Business Administration from Universidad del Valle, a specialization in International Cooperation and Development Projects
from Externado University of Colombia, and is currently a master’s candidate in Political Studies at the National University of Colombia. Throughout her career, she has stood out as a youth leader in various areas of student and youth participation at the national level.
She has held key roles, such as her appointment by Universidad del Valle (Cali campus) to the Steering Committee of the National Union of Higher Education Students (UNEES) in 2018. Additionally, on December 5, 2021, she was elected as a Municipal Youth Councilor by the Unión Popular Cali en Resistencia list, which received the highest number of votes nationwide.
She was later elected President of the Municipal Youth Council of Cali, Valle del Cauca.
Gabriela has also distinguished herself through her work as a volunteer coordinator in Gustavo Petro's campaign in Valle del Cauca in 2022, as well as her role as coordinator of the
integration process in President Gustavo Petro’s Intersectoral Youth Table for the 2022-2026 term.
Regarding her professional experience, it is worth highlighting her work at Ecopetrol between 2020 and 2021. Additionally, she has played a key role as Presidential Youth Advisor from 2022 to 2024 in Gustavo Petro's Popular Government. She has also advised national entities on youth issues, such as the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, and currently works at the National Planning Department. Furthermore, she has been appointed by President Gustavo Petro as his representative on the Superior Council of Universidad del Valle.
