It is with sincere recognition and gratitude that we recall his active participation in the 2001 Conference on Democratic Transition and Consolidation which gave birth to the Club de Madrid and, most importantly, his significant contribution to the study of democratic transitions and consolidation, crucial to the understanding of these processes, particularly in Latin America.
It was for us a true honor to count Professor O’Donnell among our advisors and friends and we are confident his work will continue to be a source of inspiration for years to come.
