Francisco Segovia is an Interim Programme Officer at Club de Madrid. He is responsible for designing and implementing projects within the organization’s strategic framework of fostering inclusive and shared societies. His work focuses on sustainable development initiatives, promoting social inclusion at its core, thus addressing major challenges and opportunities for democracy and human rights protection on a global scale.

Since 2002, Francisco has continuously worked in the coordination and management of international cooperation projects, within both public and private organizations. His professional journey includes significant roles at institutions such as the International Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP), the Foundation of the General Council of Spanish Lawyers, and the Movement for Peace. Through these roles, he has led the execution of numerous projects across Africa, the Americas, the Middle East, and the Balkans, for instance. These projects have notably targeted the defence, promotion, and protection of the rights of vulnerable groups, including migrants, refugees, victims of trafficking, people with disabilities, and children, among others.

Francisco holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Granada, Spain, and a Master of Arts degree in Peace, Security, and Defence from IUGM and UNED University, Spain. He has also completed postgraduate studies in Prevention and Management of International Crises at Carlos III University of Madrid, and in Management of Foundations through the Spanish Association of Foundations (AEF) and CEU San Pablo University.
