In February, Club de Madrid participated in a high-level dialogue at the Cassandra Conference 2026, Climate, Water and Gender Equality – Transformative Leadership for a Just Transition, in Barcelona, in collaboration with Eurecat – Technology Centre.
Our Member and former Prime Minister of Tunisia, Mehdi Jomaa, joined the panel with Hakima Elhaité, Richard Elelman & Tanja Miškova to discuss the urgent links between climate change, water security, gender equality, and social resilience.
The conversation highlighted how the climate crisis is already driving displacement, conflict, and inequality — with water scarcity emerging as a global emergency that disproportionately affects women and vulnerable communities.
The key message was clear: we need evidence-based policies, innovative solutions, and inclusive leadership to build climate resilience and ensure no one is left behind.
