Roundtable: Human Rights and the Environment, Shared Societies Project

As part of the 2030 Agenda, the international community is grappling with how to advance environmental sustainability while also protecting human rights and promoting peace. How can countries best protect environmental rights and indigenous rights? How can environmental protection strategies be rooted in a rights-based approach?

In partnership with Search for Common Ground, World Leadership Alliance – Club de Madrid is organizing in Washington DC, 7th of March,  a roundtable discussion with Carlos Mesa, former President of Bolivia, and Danilo Turk, former President of Slovenia, to learn from their experiences as well as those of other world leaders.
