World Leadership Alliance-Club de Madrid Member Ricardo Lagos has launched a new web campaign that aims to promote awareness and increase knowledge on how to reduce emissions in different parts of Chile. The campaign directly involves everyday citizens, providing a platform where they can ask questions and inform themselves on how to be greener in their day-to-day lives.
“What’s at risk is not the life of the planet. What’s at risk is if our children and grandchildren will be able to continue living on this planet”, states the former President of Chile, who was also UN Special Envoy for climate change when Ban Ki-moon was Secretary General.
The aim of the project is not only to inform the citizens but to generate new ideas. The executive secretary of the project, Marina Hermosilla mentions that what they advice the citizens is not anything new. More valuable are the suggestions that the citizens may provide using the platform to generate new ideas to combat climate change.
The initiative invites people who want to support the campaign to share the statement that WLA-CdM Members signed against the US pulling out if the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement, including Ricardo Lagos. You can share the English version or the version in Spanish.
