Club de Madrid is pleased to announce the renewal of its cooperation agreement with Kingold Group to continue co-organising the Imperial Springs International Forum (ISIF) over the next decade. As part of this renewed commitment, Dr Chau Chak Wing is reconfirmed as Chair of the Asia-Pacific Region of the Club de Madrid President’s Circle. This decision reinforces a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing global political dialogue and promoting a more effective and inclusive multilateralism, adapted to the challenges of the 21st century.
Held annually since 2016, ISIF has become a unique forum for dialogue among political leaders, international experts and representatives from academia, business and civil society. Traditionally hosted in Guangzhou (China), the Forum took place for the first time outside China—in Madrid—in 2024. The success of this edition has led to a shared commitment to alternate annually between Guangzhou and Madrid, thereby reinforcing ISIF’s truly international dimension.
ISIF provides a conducive space for the exchange of ideas and the building of consensus in a particularly complex geopolitical context, characterised by the erosion of the multilateral system, intensifying global tensions and a retreat from international cooperation. In such a context, forums like ISIF are more essential than ever: they help rebuild trust, bridge divides between worldviews and advance shared solutions to common challenges.
For Club de Madrid, ISIF embodies its commitment to intergenerational, plural and transformative political dialogue. The organisation will continue to promote the Forum as a catalyst for ideas and a platform for democratic leadership, actively contributing to the construction of a fairer, more effective and resilient model of global governance.
This renewed cooperation agreement not only ensures the continuity of a consolidated initiative but also reinforces a shared commitment to a model of global cooperation rooted in diversity, mutual trust and sustainable responses to the major challenges of our time.
