As part of its annual engagement at the United Nations General Assembly, Club de Madrid hosts a series of high-level dialogues and events to promote democratic governance and multilateral cooperation — with the UNGA Dinner as one of its flagship gatherings.

UNGA Dinner 2025 — “Powering Progress: AI, Competitiveness, and Democratic Resilience”

In collaboration with the Club de Madrid US Foundation and Amazon Web Services, and with the support of Teneo, FOSD, Pvblic, Rose Tree Group, Nature Bank, Seeing Red Media the 2025 UNGA Dinner brought together global leaders and experts in technology, investment, and public policy to discuss the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in shaping global competitiveness and democratic resilience.
Among the participants were President Alain Berset, President Michelle Bachelet, Prime Minister Mari Kiviniemi, President Leonel Fernández, alongside leading figures from the private sector and civil society.
The event underscored the importance of inclusive governance frameworks to ensure that technological progress advances sustainability, equity, and democratic values in an increasingly digital world.

UNGA Dinner 2024 — Financing for Development

In the framework of the activities of Club de Madrid in the margins of the High Level Week of UNGA, we had the pleasure of convening a dinner at the University Club of New York on Thursday 26th, which, in addition to several of our Members, was attended by high-level personalities from different fields who were interested in learning about our work.

Two high-level conversations exploring the relationship between the private sector, political participation and democracy took place during the dinner. It was an honour count on the participation of Mihai Popșoi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Moldova, as one of the key speakers.
