Led by the OxYGen Foundation, supported by the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD) and financed by with the support of the Ford Foundation, the initiative is dedicated to empowering women, particularly those from vulnerable and marginalized communities, by enhancing their political, economic, and social rights.
A key aspect of the project is its commitment to improving Armenia’s legal and policy framework on gender equality. It advocates for the effective implementation of anti-discrimination laws and supports policies aimed at preventing gender-based violence. By working closely with policymakers, civil society organizations, and international partners, EQUAL Armenia promotes accountability and ensures that legislative changes translate into tangible improvements in women’s lives.
This visit will include high-level bilateral meetings and a National Conference on Gender Equality, bringing together government officials, parliamentarians, civil society representatives, and international stakeholders. Discussions will focus on three key areas:
- Economic Empowerment
