Nelson Pires currently serves as Councilor for Culture, Sports and Administrative Modernization at the City Haal of Mosteiros. He has worked at “Radio Educativa de Cabo Verde”, the newspaper “Espresso das Ilhas” and “Cape Verdean Images Agency”. In addition Nelson also worked at the Ministry of Culture, where he was part of the Nucleus of Digital Culture as coordinator of the Rádio Nacional Cultural project. He holds a degree in Communication Sciences (Journalism), from Jean Piaget University in Cape Verde.
