The ImPACT Coalition on International Financial Architecture Reform and Financing for Development (IFA-FfD) was established at the 2024 UN Civil Society Conference in Nairobi to contribute to the Summit of the Future discussions on international financial architecture reform and enhanced financing for development, resilience and climate action. Co-led by Club de Madrid and the Global Public Investment Network, the Coalition comprises over 60 civil society organizations and Member States globally.

The Coalition aims to align efforts among stakeholders to support the UN and the multilateral system in mobilising substantial resources for global financing needs. This is achieved through inclusive dialogue, collaborative thinking, and policy analysis and recommendations. Key focus areas include multilateral financing, monetary policies, development measurements, sovereign debt, international tax cooperation, and the governance of international financial institutions.

While the Coalition was initially created to strengthen the SoTF, it will continue to work collaboratively to contribute to the success of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development in 2025. Looking ahead, the Coalition plans to intensify its efforts in promoting sustainable and equitable financing policies that facilitate development, resilience and climate action, with a focus on next year’s conference.
