The 21st Meeting of the High Level Experts and Leaders Panel on Water and Disasters (HELP), in collaboration with the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge of Spain and Club de Madrid (CdM), took place in Madrid on Tuesday 27th June 2023.
The central theme of the meeting was the Integration of “Water and Disasters” in the Global Process in the follow-up process to the UN Water Conference 2023/High Level Meeting of the General Assembly on the Mid-Term Review of the Implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) 2015-2030, and towards the High Level Political Forum (HLPF), the SDG Summit, COP28, the G20 in 2023, and the 10th World Water Forum in 2024. At HELP21 HELP members and some invited CdM members to devise and identify ways to deliver messages that connect climate change, water and DRR to international communities at the highest level.
