After months of online work, the Global Commission on Democracy and Multilateralism meets in person for the first time in Geneva, one of the world’s main hubs for multilateral cooperation.
🇨🇭Hosted in Switzerland, a longstanding champion of democracy, the meeting brings together Commissioners — including Members of Club de Madrid — alongside a diverse group of experts from international organisations, academia and civil society.
Led by Club de Madrid, the Global Commission is advancing practical and politically grounded proposals to strengthen the relationship between democracy and multilateralism at a time when both face increasing pressure, in collaboration with key partners including Robert Bosch Stiftung | International IDEA | European Democracy Hub | Open Government Partnership | Federal Department of Foreign Affairs FDFA
