ROAD to Beijing +30
In 2025, the world will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women and the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, a global framework for gender equality and women’s empowerment. This milestone, Beijing+30, presents a critical opportunity for the international community to reassess progress and accelerate efforts toward gender equality.
The Beijing Declaration highlighted 12 critical areas of concern: women and poverty, education and training of women, women and health, violence against women, women and armed conflict, women and the economy, women in power and decision-making, institutional mechanisms for the advancement of women, human rights of women, women and the media, women and the environment, and the girl child.
