Club de Madrid supports the #InspiringTunisia campaign for a democracy that delivers

What Tunisia is accomplishing in terms of democratic transition, it aims at accomplishing in terms of economic renewal. Tunisia is organizing on November 29 and 30th an investment conference “Tunisia2020”  aimed at securing financing and investments for public and private projects, and strengthening a positive branding about Tunisia.

INSPIRING TUNISIA

Traslating words into actions

TUNISIA is inspiring. Its past is inspiring and the democratic future that Tunisians imagine for their country will continue to inspire the world;

It is inspiring to see a country persistently attach utmost importance to education since its independence;

It is inspiring to see institutions ‘walk the talk’ on transition to democracy in less than 4 years;

It is inspiring to see women proactively steering their future and that of their country;

It is inspiring to see civil society awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for its consensus building efforts;

It is inspiring to see security forces tackle and overcome threats and modestly remain silent about their accomplishments;

It is inspiring to see youth believe in their future and enthusiastically shape it;

It is inspiring to see a population receive 1 million refugees in a year while maintaining its legendary hospitality untarnished;

It is inspiring to see civil servants adapt to new realities and keep working for a better future;

It is inspiring to see parents never give up on their children’s future;

It is inspiring to see farmers sow for the long term, whether it rains or not;

It is inspiring to see companies keep exploring the world in search for new markets;

It is inspiring to see that “thank you” in Tunisia means “May you live”;

TRANSLATING WORDS INTO ACTIONS

We are determined to translate our words into actions and help Tunisia achieve ‘a democracy that delivers’.

We will leverage our networks in government, civil society and the private sector to boost Tunisians’ endeavors and initiatives and contribute to Tunisian’s inspiring story.

Tunisia 2020 will be a great opportunity to turn these words into action. http://tunisia2020.com/en/

We will forward all the projects presented by Tunisia to our networks and, in this way, continue to support Tunisia and its democratic development.
